Meanwhile, WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature that will provide users with the ability to report status updates on the desktop beta, and the new feature will allow users to report a status update directly within a new menu in the status section, WABetaInfo reports.
If users see any suspicious status update that may violate the Terms of Service, they will be able to report this to the moderation team using the new option.
Just like the reporting letters, the status update will be forwarded to the company for moderation reasons so they can see if there is a violation or not.
However, this feature does not break the end-to-end encryption.
