Factory reset your Android phone and get your Galaxy S23 ready

The Galaxy S23 series has become one of the hottest Android smartphones this year, and the phones will go official tomorrow. This means that pre-orders will open after the announcement, and everyone will be clamoring to get their hands on the brand new smartphones. However, if you are still using an old Android phone, you may want to reset it to factory settings before handing it over. Whether you trade it in or sell it, factory reset is always a good idea. That is why we are going to talk about how to factory reset your Android phone for Galaxy S23.

There was a time when Android phones used a universal factory reset method. While this hasn’t changed much since then, third-party figures have made it tricky in a way that most of the time the factory reset option is behind the various menus. In this post, we will give you an overview on how to reset your Android phone.

Upgrading to Galaxy S23? Factory reset your Android phone first

Now, the process of factory resetting an Android phone is not really that difficult but we are still looking at how you can manage to do it. Let’s not waste time and see how you can reset your Android phone.

I have a Galaxy S22 Ultra, so the same method will apply to all Samsung phones. But how generic this feature is, you shouldn’t have any problems finding it on your device.

NB: It is advised to remove your Google account because resetting it may trigger Google FRP once it is restarted.

Step 1: On your Android phone, head over to settings.

Step 2: Now, scroll down until you see Public Administration. Click on that.

Step 3: Once there, look up Re-Set and click on it.

The fourth step: From there, tap Clear all settings.

Fifth step: It will take you to another page telling you what will be deleted. Simply tap Reset And follow the rest of the procedure.

If you’re using a Google Pixel or any near or stock Android phone, you’ll find the reset options under System.

Alternatively, you can also use Samsung Smart Switch to transfer your old phone to your new Galaxy S23 before factory resetting the device. This way, all the important data, contacts, and other stuff on your phone will be transferred to the new one.
