Both models were introduced in the lineup as the world’s first phones with 150W fast charging that they claim to charge up to 50% in 5 minutes and 100% in less than 15 minutes.

The report also claims that two Realme devices with two batteries, BLP985 and BLP987, are in production. BLP985 is a 5000mAh battery module that can be used for the vanilla Realme GT Neo 5 smartphone. Just like the GT Neo 3 series, this battery module may arrive with 150W fast charging support.

Meanwhile, the BLP987’s battery is a 4,600mAh unit that is expected to support 240W charging. The Realme Gt neo 5240W version may become the first phone to support 240W charging.

Oppo has already demonstrated 240W SUPERVOOC flash charging at Mobile World Congress 2022. The technology promises to charge a 4,500mAh battery to 100% in about 9 minutes.

Apart from Oppo, iQoo also supports 200W fast charging in its iQoo 10 Pro smartphone and the upcoming iQoo 11 Pro is also expected to use the same fast charging technology.
