It is worth noting that the only phone by the Nothing Phone brand (1) is not available in the United States. This means that sales only come from the rest of the regions where it is available.

Nothing’s founder Carl Pei, who also co-founded OnePlus, seems to have big plans as he aims to launch Nothing’s products in the US as well.

He recently stated “It is definitely a market that already has a lot of interest in our products. And if we launch our smartphones there, I am sure we can achieve significant growth.”

Additionally, Carl also revealed that the company won’t be releasing Nothing Phone (2) any time soon, despite the impressive sales numbers. He said the main focus of the brand is the phone (1) right now and they’re cooking up something really cool in terms of software.

For starters, the phone (1) was surrounded by controversy when it did not receive the Android 13 update before other brands like Oppo, Samsung, etc.

However, the Android 13 closed beta program for the phone (1) has now ended and users can apply for it. An open beta, followed by a stable release, is expected next year, possibly as early as sometime in the first quarter.

Also, it’s worth noting that Carl has confirmed that the company is working on something beyond Android 13, which makes us think that Phone (1) might be getting some new Nothing OS features.
