Xiaomi may be working on its next series of flagship phones, which it plans to launch by the end of this year. Rumors are circulating that Xiaomi will launch at least two phones in the series, Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro, as the latter will offer first-class specifications, such as a 1-inch camera sensor for improved photography. Xiaomi hasn’t said anything about when the series will arrive, or if it will be making it outside of China. However, I did drop a hint. According to Mysmartprice, Xiaomi has applied for certification for its upcoming phone from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). A Xiaomi phone with model number 2210132G, which belongs to the Xiaomi 13, has been listed on the BIS website, which indicates that the company may be planning to launch its next flagship in India soon. This is the normal process. Before launching a product, especially electronically, commercially in the market, a company is required to obtain certain certifications from the country’s regulatory body, BIS in the case of India. Since the phone is listed on the BIS website, the certification has apparently been given to Xiaomi to launch the phone in India. However, the list doesn’t tell us anything else. We still don’t know what the phone will carry and more importantly, when it will arrive in India. Also Read – Xiaomi 13 Series Launched With Single Cell Battery, 100W Fast Charging, SD 8 Gen 2
It is clear that Xiaomi will launch the next flagship phone in its home market, China, first, just like the previous flagship phones. Only after the launch in China is the launch expected in other countries. But again, there is no timetable for these launches.
As for its specifications, the Xiaomi 13 series is rumored to feature the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor from Qualcomm. Qualcomm is expected to release the processor later today, and by launching its next flagship phone within this year, Xiaomi may try to become the first brand to introduce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phone. Also last year, Xiaomi wanted to do the same, but Motorola I beat her. The Xiaomi 13 is also likely to come with a 6.2-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a high refresh rate. It may use a 50MP camera system on the back and it brings MIUI 14 out of the box.
