
After consulting with the company and telecom operators, Britain Extended the deadline for removing equipment and services from China Huawei in essential network functions until December 31, 2023, from the original target of January 28, 2023,
The government has announced the deadline for removing all Huawei equipment from Britain Fifth generation network Grids by the end of 2027 remained unchanged.
It also extended a requirement to limit Huawei to 35% of the entire fiber access network by three months to October 31, 2023.

Britain decided to ban Huawei and other vendors it deemed a major security risk from 5G networks in 2020 after pressure from the United States.
The ban, laid down in law last year, requires operators such as BT, Vodafone And the Hutchisonto switch to alternative suppliers and eventually remove Huawei equipment already installed in their networks.
