Apple iPhone smartphones are premium smartphones that are world famous and preferred by many. Since the launch of the first iPhone in 2007, the brand has made great progress and changes in its smartphones to meet the needs of its users.

This article is a list of all the Apple iPhone smartphones launched so far.

Apple iPhone

The first Apple iPhone smartphone was launched on June 29, 2007. The phone had a thickness of 11.6 mm and a screen of 3.5 inches. This device has also provided 16GB of internal storage to its users.

Apple iPhone 3G

iPhone 3G was launched on July 11, 2008, about one year after the launch of the first iPhone. The phone features the same 3.5-inch screen. The device also offers 3G connectivity and comes with the App Store. This phone was also thicker than the first iPhone, with a thickness of 12.3 mm. The iPhone 3G also has a 2MP rear camera.

Later, Apple also launched the Apple 3G (S).

Apple iPhone 4

The phone was launched on June 24, 2010, and Apple introduced Siri through the device. The device had a new design with a 3.5-inch screen. It was also thinner than the previous iPhones, with a thickness of 9.3 mm. The device also has a 5MP rear camera as well.

Apple 4S was then launched on 14th October 2011 with an 8MP rear camera.

Apple iPhone 5

iPhone 5 was launched on September 21, 2012, bringing 3 new updates to the device. With this iPhone, Apple introduced its own lightning connectors. The device also has 1GB of internal storage and LTE connectivity support.

On September 30, 2013, Apple also launched the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S

Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus

In 2014 on September 19, Apple launched iPhone 6, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6 Plus, and iPhone 6S Plus. The smartphones feature a 5.5 inch Retina HD display, 128GB storage space with a 12MP camera.

Apple iPhone SE

Apple iPhone SE was an affordable iPhone compared to iPhone 6. The device offered its users the best features except for the 3D Touch present in iPhone 6 and 6S. This phone was launched on March 31, 2016 and won the hearts of iPhone lovers.

Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus

Apple decided to remove the headphone jack from the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. The device also offered a base variant with 16GB of internal storage along with 32GB and 256GB variants. The smartphones were launched on 16th September 2016.

Apple iPhone 8 and 8 Plus

iPhone 8 and 8 Plus were launched on 17th September 2017 and featured a true tone display along with wireless charging feature and a glass cover for the phone. The device also introduced user image filtering and image editing features.

Apple iPhone X

iPhone X was launched on the 3rd of November 2017. With the iPhone X, Apple introduced Face ID and pulled the home button from the smartphone. The phone features a portrait mode, an additional front camera, and a much better resolution that made the phone well received. Later on, Apple also launched XS, XS Max, and XR as well.

Apple iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max

iPhone 11 series was released on September 20, 2019 with multiple cameras on the back. iPhone 11 had an 11MP + 12MP camera on the back while the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max had a 12MP triple camera. iPhone 11 Pro Max has also become the most expensive iPhone to date.

Apple iPhone 12

Apple iPhone 12 series was launched on 23rd October 2020 along with Apple iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini. Both phones feature an edge-to-edge Super Retina XDR display protected by a ceramic protective glass. The devices are also powered by Apple’s A14 Bionic chipset and have 5G connectivity.

Apple iPhone 13

In 2021 on September 24, Apple introduced the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. The devices were powered by the A14 Bionic chip and had a smaller design.

Apple iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max

Apple iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max are powered by the Apple A16 Bionic chipset. The notch design of both phones has been changed to something Apple describes as “Dynamic Island”. It features the front camera and Face ID. iPhone 14 Pro Max also has a 48MP rear camera instead of a 12MP camera. Both devices also have satellite crash detection and emergency SOS features as well.

Apple iPhone smartphones have evolved significantly from the first iPhone to the Apple iPhone 14 series of smartphones. These updates and upgrades have made the Apple iPhone smartphones a welcome fan favorite.
