Ducks host a holiday shopping spree and visit CHOC Children’s Hospital

The Ducks will celebrate the holiday season with a variety of activities highlighted by a shopping spree for local students at Target in Irvine Market Place on Monday, December 5 at 3pm as well as visiting patients at CHOC Children’s Hospital of Orange on Thursday, December. 8

In celebration of the holiday season, the Ducks players, broadcasters, staff, and Lady Ducks (the wives and other Ducks players, coaches, announcers, and management) will treat children from low-income families to gifts that would not otherwise be possible. The recipients of the Anaheim Ducks Shopping Spree are students currently enrolled in programs at the Santa Ana-based nonprofit organization, The Wooden Floor. TCL, partner of the Anaheim Ducks, one of the world’s best-selling consumer electronics brands and a leading display technology innovator, will also be involved in making the holidays brighter for The Wooden Floor youth and their families. Every child will be surprised by the 43-inch TCL TV, which features stunning 4K Ultra HD picture quality, High Dynamic Range (HDR) and access to thousands of streaming channels.

On Thursday, December 8, members of the Anaheim Ducks organization will visit CHOC Children’s in Orange. Players will make room-to-room visits and introduce fan-donated Wild Wingers Kids Club Kits to brighten the season for patients receiving holiday care at CHOC.

In addition, The Ducks host the annual Anaheim Ducks Toy Drive presented by Easton & Easton, the official personal injury attorneys of the Anaheim Ducks, to benefit the Spark of Love Toy Drive. Lady Ducks will help Anaheim Fire & Rescue collect new unwrapped toys, books, and games at the northeast and southeast entrances to the Honda Center ahead of the Ducks games on Tuesday, December 6 vs. Carolina (7 p.m.) and Friday, Dec. 9 vs. San Jose (7 p.m.). Toy Drive drop-off locations are also available at every THE RINKS location as well as the Anaheim Ducks Team Store through Monday, December 12th.

The Lady Ducks have created hand-made ornaments for each of the players that will be autographed and made available for bidding during the in-game auction on Wednesday, December 21, as the Ducks face off against the Minnesota Wild (7 p.m.). Fans can bid on holiday decorations starting at 5 p.m. with auction closing at 9 p.m. To make a bid, text DUCKS to 76278 or visit

The Anaheim Ducks Foundation has also created “NutQuacker” holiday ornaments made of toy-grade glass, which the Lady Ducks will be selling as a limited number of souvenir holiday decorations for $25 each. Fans can visit the TCL entrance to purchase the Anaheim Ducks Foundation ornament. All proceeds raised will benefit the Anaheim Ducks Foundation.

around the wooden floor
Founded in 1983, The Wooden Floor is one of the most prominent nonprofit youth development organizations in the country. We transform the lives of young people in low-income communities through the power of dance and access to higher education. In Orange County and through nationally licensed partners, we use a long-term approach grounded in exploratory dance education to foster confidence and the gifts within every child for innovation, communication, and collaboration—skills needed for success in school and in life. 100% of students who graduate from The Wooden Floor immediately enter higher education. Our students become agents of change and beacons of hope within their families, their neighborhoods, our community, and our world.
