Nokia has been on the list of OEMs compatible with the Android 13 beta since its announcement; However, it has not unveiled an upgrade based on the stable OS since its release. Now, however, the HMD Global brand has confirmed that at least some of its new devices will see the update soon.
Some, like the X20, are fairly obvious candidates. The full list is as follows:
They’re all fairly new (though not the latest) devices, and they all support 5G. However (with the exception of the XR20), none cost more than $300 at launch. They are or should be on Android 12 right now, like all other devices to upgrade to its second-wave successor, according to Nokia.
They’re also all in the Android Enterprise Recommended Program, which might help explain why they’re number one for your upcoming OTA install. Then again, Nokia has yet to say exactly when any of the five smartphones should start the upgrade.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degree is in biomedical sciences. It did, however, lead to some expertise in biotechnology, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, our environment, and our lives in general. This has evolved into an all-encompassing interest in more aspects of technology over time: I can never write enough about the latest electronics, gadgets, and innovations. My other interests include photography, astronomy, and all things streaming. Oh, and coffee.
