According to Xiaomi CEO Jun, the phone maker is more focused on “battery life than battery capacity.” He also added that Xiaomi’s research and development team is trying to make the device’s battery last up to two days. And it showed test results that highlighted that the Xiaomi 13 phone scored 1.37, which is higher than the second place iPhone 14 Pro Max, with a score of 1.28. The Xiaomi 12 Pro was impressive and the Xiaomi 13 series is likely to be just as disruptive. It is worth noting that Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro will bring significant camera upgrades in partnership with German camera giant Leica.

According to hands-on photos of the Xiaomi 13 series in a report by Notebook Check, the Xiaomi 13 has a flat screen and “ultra-thin bezels”, arguably thinner than that of the Xiaomi 13 Pro. However, the Xiaomi 13 Pro is based on a curved screen, similar to the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. Both smartphones have a large camera with three lenses, although the Xiaomi 13 Pro extends to more space than the back panel of the Xiaomi 13. In short, the Xiaomi 13 Pro is a larger version of the Xiaomi 13 in all respects, with the appearance of the former. For a thicker camera housing, too, Notebook Check added.

It should be noted that the Xiaomi 13 flagship lineup will be among the first in the range of devices to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor from Qualcomm. Vivo has already launched its X90 Pro+ with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. During the launch of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Qualcomm stated that OnePlus, Oppo, Redmi, Asus Republic of Gamers, Honor, Motorola, Nubia, Sharp, Sony Corporation, Xiaomi, ZTE, among other things, will come with the flagship processor.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is said to offer better battery life and performance for the Xiaomi 13 lineup compared to the Xiaomi 12 lineup.
