Xiaomi completes 8 years in India! Special sale with great deals coming soon

Xiaomi has completed eight years in India and is hosting an on sale event to celebrate it. Here are all the details.

Amidst all the launches, Xiaomi has just completed its eighth anniversary. Xiaomi, which is currently one of the leading smartphone brands in the country, has been around since 2014 and has split into multiple product categories over the years. As part of its anniversary sale, the company is now hosting a sale on its website for the entire month of July. Details of the sale are yet to be shared but one can expect some good deals on popular Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones as well as other products.

Xiaomi started its journey in India in 2014 with its first smartphone – Redmi 1S, which was also accompanied by Xiaomi Mi 3 – the company’s flagship phone in 2014. Over the years, Xiaomi has emphasized its sub-brand Redmi to capture an affordable segment of the market. smartphones, and eventually entered the premium smartphone space in 2020 with its dedicated Mi brand, now known simply as Xiaomi.

While Xiaomi’s smartphone business is booming, the company has also ventured into IoT products as well as accessories. As of 2022, Xiaomi India’s product portfolio consists of a wide range of products such as smartphones, laptops, smart TVs, wearables, apparel, and more.

Currently, Xiaomi India is rumored to be bringing back the Redmi K series devices. Rumors have it that the company will be bringing the Redmi K50i and Redmi K50i Pro to India, both variants of the Redmi Note 11T Pro series from China. Both phones are expected to feature a Mediatek Dimensity 8100 chipset, up to 120W fast wired charging, and a 144Hz IPS LCD display.

Globally, Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi 12S series, which consists of Xiaomi 12S, Xiaomi 12S Pro, and Xiaomi 12S Ultra. The Xiaomi 12S series will start collaborating with Leica, as the Xiaomi 12S Ultra is expected to offer the best cameras on a Xiaomi smartphone. These phones are also expected to be launched in India in the coming months.
