Orange Pi OS, based on Huawei HarmonyOS, has been launched

Orange Pi OS launched Orange Pi based on Huawei HarmonyOS open source version. In fact, there are three versions of Orange Pi OS in total but we will focus on the software based on OpenHarmony.

Orange Pi OS is an open source operating system for the Orange Pi. The Orange Pi operating system enables Orange Pi series development boards, keyboard computers, and other computer hardware. It can run Android, Windows and Linux applications.

What is Orange PI:

Orange Pi helps run different applications, uses other operating systems and behaves like Android. To enable users to try different projects in the system.

Orange Pi operating system with open source HarmonyOS:

The software provides compatibility and support for multi-terminal devices built with penHarmony as the core technology and integrated with Linux technology.

It supports multiple CPU architectures with good compatibility, better hardware and software system, security, customizations, high efficiency and low power consumption.

For example, it can be installed on tablets, mobile terminals, smart TVs, wearable devices, security cameras, payment systems, self-service terminals, and more. Therefore, it can be used in various areas of interest such as office, entertainment, production, logistics, education, security, and others.

Ease of maintenance: support for automated installation and remote maintenance management, integrated graphic management and maintenance tools, including system monitoring, device manager, etc., support for expanding maintenance screen functions, making system maintenance more convenient.

There are two other versions of Orange Pi OS, the first one is based on Android and the second one is based on the Arch Linux distribution.
