LG Wing

But do you still get it?

One of the most unique phones launched in recent years, the LG Wing, one of the latest smartphones from LG, brings a whole new dimension to dual screen smartphones. While the device was launched at Rs 69,999, it has now got a significant price cut and will be available for just Rs 29,999, giving users a discount of around Rs 40,000. The discount as of now, applies to Flipkart on the 8GB/128GB variant.

The price drop comes shortly after LG decided to stop making smartphones. The company is now looking to clear its stock of remaining units for several of its recent phones including budget devices like the LG K42 and other handsets like the LG Velvet and Wing. LG Mobiles is set to completely shut down operations by July 31 of this year.

LG Wing at Rs 29,999: Are you still getting it?

If LG is closing down its mobile phone business, why should you still invest your money in an LG smartphone? The LG Wing is a very capable smartphone to begin with, as it’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, a 5G-enabled chipset that also powers phones in this segment like the OnePlus Nord and Vivo V20 Pro.

Despite the company’s closure, LG has promised that all of its phones will continue to get software updates for three years. This includes the LG Wing, which will likely be fully updated to at least Android 13, according to the brand. Thus, if you are willing to get a new phone in two to three years anyway, LG Wing might be one of the best phones that Rs 30,000 can buy right now. Here’s a look at the LG Wing’s specifications.

The 5G phone comes with a 6.8-inch Full HD P-OLED primary screen with an aspect ratio of 20.5:9. The T-shaped main screen rotates to reveal the secondary 3.9-inch G-OLED screen. There is no camera cutout on the front display as it has a 32MP motorized pop-up camera. The 5G smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor.

The LG Wing has a triple camera setup on the back with a 64MP main sensor along with a 13MP wide (117-degree) camera and another 12MP ultra-wide (120-degree) camera. The 12MP “Ultra Wide Big Pixel” camera features 5-axis image stabilization and a special Gimbal mode. In rotating mode, the phone provides a better grip for video shooting. Under this mode, the user will be able to control the camera by reaching and following movements such as panning, tilting, or locking on a specific object.

It has an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance. 4000 mAh battery supports QuickCharge 4.0 technology. The LG Wing has two storage variants, both with 8GB of RAM. Storage 128GB / 256GB expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. It runs on Android 10 out of the box with LG’s Q OS on top.
