Xiaomi It is expected to expand its portfolio by adding a new smartphone to the Xiaomi 12 series. It is rumored that the Chinese smartphone maker will release two versions of Xiaomi 12T – Basic model and Pro variant. Moreover, the Xiaomi 12T Pro is also likely to support 120W HyperCharge technology. According to a report by PhoneArena, the upcoming phone may be launched in September. The report also states that some key specifications of the smartphone have been leaked online.
The expected Xiaomi 12T specifications
According to the report, the Xiaomi 12T (named PlatoIt is expected to feature an OLED display supporting a resolution of 1,220 x 2,712 and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The smartphone is likely to come powered by an overclocked version of the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor dubbed Ultra.
The report states that the upgraded chipset is rumored to improve performance but will have the same 5nm manufacturing node found in the vanilla 8100. The base model of the smartphone is likely to have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. .
The report also states that both the phones are expected to feature a triple rear camera setup that will include – a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies and video calls, the upcoming phone may have a resolution of 20MP Sony IMX596 Front Snapper.
Both variants may pack a 5,000mAh battery but the Xiaomi 12T can support 67W fast charging while the Xiaomi 12T Pro may offer a 120W HyperCharge option.
