Written by Shweta JanjuEarlier this year, LG launched two flagship devices — LG V50 ThinQ and LG G8 ThinQ — at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019. But even before launching the V series and G series, LG launched a budget smartphone — the LG K12 Plus — with the same processor. MediaTek. And now, the word is that the Korean electronics giant is planning to launch a new smartphone targeting Indian users.

According to a report by 91 Mobiles, LG is working on a new smartphone that will target the affordable segment of the Indian smartphone market. The new budget smartphone, whose name has not been decided yet, will come with a triple rear camera setup and will be sold within the country via online channels only.

While not much is known about LG’s upcoming smartphone at the moment, images shared in the post suggest that the phone will have a gradient color scheme on the back and that the phone’s triple rear camera setup will be stacked vertically in the upper left corner of the phone. Equipped with a camera sensor surrounded in red. The LED flash will be located just below that.

Additionally, LG’s new budget phone will come with a fingerprint sensor placed in the top quarter of the phone’s back — a feature it will likely share with some of the company’s previous phones like the LG G7 ThinQ and LG V40 ThinQ. The images also show that the volume control buttons and the power button will be on the right side of the phone. No word on whether the phone will have a separate button for invoking Google Assistant yet.

In addition, the text in the images indicates that the phone will come with a Full Vision display and AI features. Sources told the publication that the phone will get many features from the company’s V-series and G-series smartphones. This means that the upcoming LG smartphone is likely to come with features such as triple preview modes that provide a live preview of all three cameras at once and triple preview modes that provide a live preview of all three cameras at once. It is also likely to come with LG’s AI camera technology.

It is worth noting that no additional details about the phones are available at this time. We will have to wait until it officially unveils its budget smartphone to know more about the device.
