HTC may be close to launching a cheap Android tablet

HTC may be about to release a cheap Android tablet

HTC may still be in hot water for its mismanagement of the smartphone business, but it looks like it is Things get better eventually. More importantly, the Taiwanese company is all set to launch another A100 Android device.

Contrary to what many HTC fans might think, the A100 is not a new smartphone but a tablet with low to mid-range specs. Spotted by Indian tipping @employee (Across MobileScout), the HTC A100 is far from amazing in terms of hardware, but it’s easy to overlook the lack of solid specs when we’re talking about a tablet that likely costs around $200.

HTC A100 will be powered by Spreadtrum T618 processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage (up to 256GB). The listing on Google Play Console also revealed that the tablet has a 10.1-inch FHD display, dual camera (13MP + 2MP), and a massive 7,000mAh battery.

This will run Android 11 out of the box and will cost $200, despite the price listed on The product page may just be a placeholder. The A100 isn’t the only Android device that HTC is expected to release this year, as Reports indicate that the Taiwanese company is willing to bet big 5G smartphones.
