According to a report by The Elec, Samsung is likely to include satellite connectivity in its upcoming Galaxy S23 series devices. The satellite connection in Samsung devices will be powered by a partner, Iridium. Earlier this year, the company that owns 66 low-orbit communications satellites reportedly struck a deal with smartphone makers to provide the feature.

It is important to note that Apple’s satellite connection is supported by Global Star It can only be used in emergency situations. However, Samsung is said to be planning to use the satellite connection in the Galaxy S23 series for more than just emergencies.
