Funtouch OS 13 update release date
Funtouch OS 13 has yet to be officially unveiled as of September 2022. As of today, the company has only pushed Android 13 Preview version to two flagship phones Vivo X80 Pro and iQOO 9 Pro. The company is yet to reveal the official launch date for the next iteration of Funtouch OS.
Based on the preview build, we can expect the stable version to start rolling out by the end of October this year, and more devices are expected to get Funtouch OS 13 later this year and early 2023.
The most important expected features in Funtouch OS 13
Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13 was rolled out a few weeks back to a few devices and based on this preview build, these are the new features coming with Funtouch OS 13.
The theme engine has been updated
More polished than Funtouch OS 12 and has more color options too. There are a lot of preset options including dual colors as well. The new UI colors will also be applied to system apps and some UI elements (notification, settings, launcher) – adding a bit of uniformity. Theme color can also be applied to application icons.
New permission for notifications
A new feature in Android 13, when you install a new app, the app will ask you to send notifications explicitly. Only if “Allow” you will receive notifications from that particular app will send a notification. This way, users get more control over which apps can send notifications.
hide pictures
This is a new feature with the Funtouch OS 13 update for the built-in Album app. You can select the photos from your collection and then click on the menu button and then click on the “Hide” option. Hidden photos will be available under the settings options within the app.
language for each application
With this feature, users will be able to use an application in a specific language without affecting the system language of any other application language. This can be useful for multilingual users. Settings can be accessed by heading to Settings > Apps > All Apps > <حدد أي تطبيق> > Language.
Other features:
- New optical resolution (for flagship devices only)
- Added phone cooling option inside iManager > Utilities app
- Air Quality Index (AQI) data in the built-in weather app
These are the new features available on Funtouch OS 13 as of now, and the company is expected to add more features based on Android 13 such as new media progress bar, new photo picker, and more.

Funtouch OS 13: List of compatible Vivo and iQOO phones
While the company is expected to officially release the list of eligible devices for the Funtouch OS 13 update, we have curated the list below based on the company’s promise. Vivo X series devices will get three years of software update and V series devices are expected to get at least two OS updates. For iQOO, since it is a relatively new company, all phones launched in the last two years should be eligible for the update.

Vivo announces the start of FunTouch OS 13 update schedule based on Android 13 in India (October 25, 2022)
Vivo has finally done so open Android 13 based FunTouch OS 13 update release timeline in India. The company has confirmed that the Vivo X80 Pro will be the first phone to get FunTouch OS 13. The brand will then roll out the update to the X60 Pro+, X60 Pro and X60 from mid-December 2022. From mid-November 2022, the brand will roll out the FunTouch OS update 13 on Vivo X80, X70 Pro+, X70 Pro, V25 Pro, V25, V23 Pro, V23 5G, V23e 5G, T1 Pro 5G, T1 5G, T1, Y75 5G, Y35, Y22, and Y22s. Starting from the first half of 2023, the company will roll out the update to V21 5G, V21e, V20 Pro, V20, V20 2021, Y74, Y73, Y72 5G, Y53s, Y21s, Y33s, Y20G, Y21T, Y33T, T1x, Y51A, Y31, and Y20T.
iQOO 9T and iQOO Neo 6 Reportedly Getting FunTouchOS 13 Update Stable On Android 13 In India (October 12, 2022)
iQOO is said to have started rolling out the stable Android 13 update for its smartphones. brand has rolled FunTouch OS 13 stable update for iQOO 9T and iQOO Neo 6 smartphones in India. The iQOO 9T update weighs around 5.74GB, while the iQOO Neo 6 update weighs around 5.5GB. Users can go to Settings > Software Update to download the latest FunTouch OS 13.
Vivo X80 Pro and iQOO 9 Pro Android 13 update is rolling out in India for select users
On August 24, after the release of Android 13 for Pixel phones, Vivo and iQOO pushed out the Android 13 Preview build for Vivo X80 Pro and iQOO 9 Pro users in India. The stable version of these devices is expected to arrive before the end of 2022. The preview has been published for 500 users of the X80 Pro and 500 users of iQOO 9 Pro.
