In the past few months, brands like Motorola, Poco, Vivo, and Redmi have launched affordable 5G phones in the country. Here are five affordable 5G phones under Rs 15,000.
By Abhik Sengupta5G is slowly being rolled out in India, and many smartphone manufacturers are adding the connectivity option to their budget devices. In the past few months, brands like Motorola, Poco, Vivo, and Redmi have launched affordable 5G phones in the country. In addition to 5G, some of these budget phones can handle everyday tasks like browsing the web, gaming, and watching movies.
If you are planning to buy a new 5G smartphone, here are some options you can consider. We’ve narrowed the list down to phones under Rs 15,000. If you have a higher budget, you can refer to our previous coverage.
1. Moto G51 5G
If you prefer a clean Android smartphone, the Moto G51 5G is a good option to consider. However, note that it is still running on Android 11, while Android 13 is already available on some high-end smartphones. The phone features a 6.8-inch high-definition IPS display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Under the hood, it packs a Snapdragon 480+ chipset, which should handle basic tasks like browsing the web and watching short videos on social media apps with ease.
It also includes a 50MP primary camera and a 5,000mAh battery. If 5G is not your thing and you want a 4G Motorola smartphone, the Moto G52 is also a good option.

2. Samsung Galaxy F13 5G
While the Moto G51 is a good option, some users may not be satisfied with its 64GB of storage. In this case, Samsung Galaxy M13 is a better option with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
It also gets a relatively smaller 6.5-inch display with HD+ resolution and dual SIM support. Other than that, the phone carries the same 50MP primary camera and 5,000mAh battery. Another benefit is that the phone runs Android 12 out of the box.

3. Redmi Note 10T 5G
Redmi Note smartphones are very popular in India and the company’s Redmi Note 10T from last year is still a decent option – especially if you’re upgrading your old Redmi smartphone.
The phone offers an amazing viewing experience on its 6.5-inch screen, loud speakers, and MediaTek Dimensity 700 good enough for light gaming. Similar to the Moto Phone, it also runs on Android 11, which could be an issue in 2022 and going forward to 2023. The phone’s 48MP primary camera takes decent daylight photos, though the image quality falters in low light.

4. Poco M4 5G
Poco has become a very popular brand in India in a short time and the Poco F4 5G is still, in our opinion, one of the best phones under Rs 30,000 at this point.
On the budget side, the Poco M4 5G with MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC remains one of the most affordable 5G phones in the country.
It has a modern design that may attract many young customers. Other key highlights include a 6.58-inch 90Hz display, 50MP dual rear camera system, 5,000mAh battery and support for seven-band 5G.

5. iQoo Z6 5G
iQoo Z6 Lite 5G is a good value for money smartphone with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset. Other key features include a 6.68-inch display and a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. However, you won’t get the charger in the box, so keep that in mind.
