HTC U12 Life Moonlight Blue and Twilight Purple colors

Before we dive into the best HTC phones you can get, we need to preface this by saying that the brand has mostly pulled out of the phone business to focus on virtual reality and other efforts. HTC had been floundering for quite some time before selling a large portion of its R&D workforce to Google in 2017. HTC stopped competing in major smartphone markets around the world after a few years, and you’ll only find a handful of new releases in select regions. .

Let’s just say that most of the phones on this list are quite old, and the relatively newer versions are entry-level or mid-range devices. If you want to check out what the company is offering right now, here are the best HTC phones you can get right now.

HTC’s best phones

Editor’s note: We’ll update this list of the best HTC phones when and if the company releases any new devices.

HTC Desire 22 Pro

HTC Desire 22 Pro

This is one of HTC’s latest phones, and the only one you can easily get in many European countries. It’s not officially released in the US, but you can get the international model on Amazon.

The Desire 22 Pro is a mid-range device powered by the Snapdragon 695 chipset. It has an IP67 rating for water and dust protection, has a large 6.6-inch 120Hz display, and comes with three rear cameras. Surprisingly, there is even a headphone jack on board. Charging speed is capped at 18W, and there’s also slightly slower wireless charging available. The phone also supports expandable storage.

  • Show: 6.6 inches, Full HD +
  • SoC: Snapdragon 695
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • storage: 128 GB
  • cameras: 64, 13 and 5 megapixels
  • front cameras: 32MP

HTC Desire 21 Pro

HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G

The HTC Desire 21 Pro comes with just about everything you’d expect from a mid-range 2021 device. And since it’s not HTC’s latest phone anymore, it offers a little less than the aforementioned Desire 22 Pro.

The Full HD+ display comes with a 90Hz refresh rate. You get a quad-camera setup headlined by the 48MP primary shooter. The Snapdragon 690 processor, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, keeps everything running, and the 5,000mAh battery should provide solid battery life. The phone keeps some of the ‘classics’ such as expandable storage and a capacitive (side-mounted) fingerprint sensor. It’s also 5G ready. What’s disappointing, however, is that the 2021 version comes with Android 10 out of the box.

HTC Desire 21 Pro was released in Taiwan, but you can get this version of the phone on Amazon.

  • Show: 6.7 inches, Full HD +
  • SoC: Snapdragon 690
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • storage: 128 GB
  • cameras: 48, 8, 2 and 5 megapixels
  • front cameras: 16 mega pixel camera
  • battery: 5000 mAh
  • Programming: Android 10

HTC U20

The HTC U20 isn’t powerful, but the device offers some good specs for the price. It’s also the company’s first 5G phone, which makes it an attractive option for those who can take advantage of the faster speeds.

The device is powered by the Snapdragon 765, which is the same processor you get with the Pixel 5, supported by 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. A 48MP primary shooter heads the quad-camera setup on the back, and you’ll get a solid 32MP selfie camera. You won’t have to worry too much about battery life either with the 5000mAh unit. It’s not a bad phone by any means, but it’s still hard to come by. You can get the international version on Amazon.

  • Show: 6.8 inches, Full HD +
  • SoC: Snapdragon 765G
  • RAM: 6/8 GB
  • storage: 256GB
  • cameras: 48, 8, 2 and 2 megapixels
  • front camera: 32MP
  • battery: 5000 mAh
  • Programming: Android 10

HTC Desire 20 Pro

Desire 20 Pro

If you’re looking for a nicer mid-range device, the HTC Desire 20 Pro is one of the better HTC phones available, even though it’s a few years old now. Despite being a 2020 device, it has modest specs, including a Snapdragon 665 processor, 6GB of RAM, and a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display.

Some of the features on this phone are rather amazing. This budget phone comes with a massive 5,000mAh battery, quad-camera setup, dual SIM capabilities, and a price tag that won’t break the bank.
