Xiaomi launched its flagship 12T series phones at a global event today. The company unveiled two new phones in the Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro series. These new flagship phones are frequent upgrades compared to the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro devices that were launched earlier this year.
At today’s event, the company also announced the Redmi Pad, the first-ever Redmi-branded tablet and a full suite of AIoT products including the Band 7 Pro. The Xiaomi 12T Pro comes with a 200MP rear camera and is powered by the latest SoC from the house of Qualcomm. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 12T is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor.
Xiaomi 12T Pro vs Xiaomi 12T: Price and Availability
Xiaomi Mi 12T Pro starts at EUR 749 (roughly Rs. 60,500) for the 8GB + 128GB model. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 12T 8GB + 128GB model costs EUR 599 (roughly Rs. 48,400). Both devices will be available in silver, blue and black color options.
Xiaomi 12T Pro and Xiaomi 12T specifications
The Xiaomi 12T Pro has a 6.67 inch CrystalRes AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, central punch-hole notch, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The screen has a resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels. The screen also comes with features like Adaptive HDR and Adaptive Reading Mode. Under the hood, the 12T Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
The Xiaomi 12T Pro has a 200MP (1/1.22″) primary rear camera with OIS, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro camera. There is a 20MP front camera for taking selfies. The rear camera also supports up to 8K video recording. The device comes with a 5,000mAh battery and is supported by 120W fast charging. With this 120W fast charging, the device can charge to 100% in just 19 minutes.
The phone runs on Android 12 based on MIUI 13 out of the box. The device will get three operating system upgrades and four years of security updates. Other features include a dual stereo speaker powered by Dolby Atmos, dual-band Wi-Fi setup, Bluetooth, and a evaporative cooling system.
On the other hand, the vanilla Xiaomi 12T sports a 108MP main camera and the device is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Ultra SoC. Apart from these two changes, the rest of the specifications remain the same.
