Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro, and Vivo X90 Pro+ specifications revealed with new leak

With the Vivo X90 series launching in a few days, there is not much left to the imagination. The key specifications of all three devices are known thanks to an avalanche of leaks and teasers. Unlike last time, Vivo already wants to launch three flagship smartphones, although the Vivo X90 Pro was conspicuously missing from the leak ecosystem until very recently. Currently, Ishan Agarwal (via Pricebaba) Vivo has effectively ruined Vivo’s surprise by fully revealing the Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro, and Vivo X90 Pro+ spec sheets.

Vivo X90 Pro +

Starting with the best-in-class Vivo X90 Pro+, one gets a 6.7-inch 1260p AMOLED panel clocked at 120Hz and 300Hz touch sampling rate. It will be the only smartphone in the lineup to run Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, as confirmed by a previous Geekbench listing, with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The smartphone will draw power from a 4,700mAh battery. The wattage for wired and wireless charging is rated at 80W and 50W, respectively. This is puzzling, given that its competitors offer significantly faster charging in their higher-midrange offerings.

Some of the early Vivo X90 Pro+ leaks and Vivo’s marketing strategy around the phone centered around the camera. The star of the round camera module will be the 1-inch 50MP Sony IMX989V sensor. It will be accompanied by a 64MP OmniVision OV64A telephoto lens (3.5x optical zoom), along with a 48MP Sony IMX598 wide-angle lens and a 50MP Sony IMX578 portrait lens. Finally, a 32MP front sensor will handle selfies and video calls.

Vivo X90 Pro

Moving on to the Vivo X90 Pro in the middle of the pack, it will replace the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with the MediaTek Dimensity 9200. Its screen specifications remain the same as the Vivo X90 Pro +, although there may be some minor differences. It has a better battery of 4800mAh that supports 120W fast wired charging and 50W fast wireless charging. Vivo X90 Pro will also feature a 50MP Sony IMX866 camera sensor. It will reuse the 50MP portrait lens from its bigger brother and replace the ultra wide angle lens with a 12MP unit. Other specifications include a 32MP selfie sensor, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 4.0 storage.

Vivo X90

Finally, the vanilla Vivo X90 will also hit Team MediaTek with its Dimensity 9200. Its rear camera module keeps its 50 MP Sony IMX866 and 12 MP ultra wide angle but opts for a 12 MP telephoto sensor instead. Other specs include a 6.7-inch 2K 120Hz display, 4,800mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging, and a 32MP selfie camera. It probably does not support wireless charging, otherwise the feature may appear on the TENAA listing.

Looking at the specs sheet alone, the Vivo X90 Pro+ could easily give the Galaxy S23 Ultra a run for its money, at least on its camera prowess. The huge sensor as well as the Leica color flag may allow to take the fight to the Huawei Mate 50 Pro. Samsung’s flagship has the faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which gives it an edge in mods and gaming. Then again, that wouldn’t matter given that Vivo has been putting all its eggs in the camera basket for the past generation or so.
