Motorola has confirmed that it will be hosting a new event on August 2. The company will unveil the new Moto Razr 2022 and Moto Edge X30 Pro at the event. Besides, Motorola will also unveil the new MyUI 4.0. Motorola’s custom Android skin is said to offer major upgrades in terms of design and features.

As reported by MyDrivers, the MyUI 4.0 update improves the app’s icon design and also allows users to customize the system-wide color palette according to their preferences. MyUI 4.0 will also introduce the app across the screen and virtual mouse functionality. The latter is likely to use the smartphone screen as a virtual mouse through a wireless connection to connect it to other devices. This could be very useful for users with the new Moto Razr 2022, which has a large 3-inch display.

The new MyUI 4.0 update also provides a customized interface that can display phone information intuitively. There will be many features, such as sidebar, app partner, smart travel, and so on.

Moto Edge X30 Pro

Motorola Edge X30 Pro is also expected to launch on August 2. It is rumored that the phone will be launched globally as Moto Edge 30 Ultra. The phone will draw power from the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood. It will use a 200MP Samsung HP1 sensor as its primary camera. There will also be a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP telephoto camera.

The X30 Pro will be launched with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Motorola will offer the phone in two colors – white and gray. The X30 Pro will have a 6.67-inch 144Hz AMOLED display with a punch-hole cutout at the top center.

There will be a 4,500mAh battery with 125W fast charging support out of the box. The device is likely to have a 60MP front camera. MyUx based on Android 12 will run out of the box.

Moto Razr 2022

Motorola is likely to launch its new Razr 2022 phone at the event on August 2. There have been reports that claimed that the launch of the Moto Razr 2022 has been delayed. Apparently, Motorola didn’t want to face the launch event with the launch of the Z Flip 4, which will be launched at the Galaxy Unpacked event on August 10. New details suggest that the company will launch the Razr 2022 instead before the launch of the Flip 4.

Razr is getting some upgrades. It will have a larger 6.7-inch pOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. There will be a larger 3-inch screen outside, which is big enough for playing games as well. The phone will have a dual camera setup with a 50MP main camera and a 13MP ultra-wide camera. There will be a 2,800mAh battery, according to reports. The phone will come in quartz black and quiet blue colors.
