Motorola launches the new Moto g42

Aiming to attract consumers in the middle class, Motorola on Monday launched a new affordable smartphone “moto g42” that features a Full HD + display with stereo speakers and Android 12.

The smartphone is available in a single storage version of 4 GB + 64 GB, in two colors: metallic pink and atlantic green.

“The moto g42 comes with Android 12 close to stock with a guaranteed upgrade to Android 13 and 3 years of security updates (sic),” the company said in a statement.

The device comes with a 6.4-inch Ultrawide AMOLED FHD+ display with a nearly borderless design, providing crisp and vivid details.

It is also packed with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos sound technology, which provides users with a new experience with enhanced bass, clearer vocals, greater clarity and higher volumes.

The smartphone has a 50MP quad camera with an 8MP Ultrawide sensor and a 16MP selfie camera. It also has 4X low-light sensitivity and a dedicated macro vision camera.

The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 octa-core processor and has a powerful 5000mAh battery.

It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3-in-3 card slots that support two nano SIM cards, and up to 1TB of dedicated microSD storage to expand the internal storage by 64GB, the company said.

Moto g42 is available for sale on Flipkart and other leading stores for INR 13,999. The mobile will be available at a discounted price of INR 12,999, including bank offer, starting from July 11.
