Oppo Find X’s upcoming flagship smartphone will be one of the first to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor

Oppo for its collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies in ray tracing graphics for mobile devices. The company plans to implement Google Vertex AI Neural Architecture Search (Google NAS) on a smartphone for the first time. The new solution focuses on enhancing the energy efficiency and latency of AI processing on mobile devices. Moreover, Oppo claims that its next flagship Find X smartphone will be among the first to have Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor – snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has also announced that it will use the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform in its next Find X flagship devices which will provide a leap in video, gaming and connectivity experiences for mobile users around the world. These improvements will enable Oppo’s ray tracing technology to be applied to complex and large-scale gaming scenes on mobile phones.
Oppo devices powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform, with multi-ray tracing turned on, will allow heavy-duty games to run at 60fps while providing smooth, life-like shadows and reflections for better gaming visual quality.

Compared to the previous software, the efficiency of the ray tracing tender has increased by a factor of 5 and the CPU workload has been reduced by 90%.
Oppo achieved a 27% reduction in target detection algorithm power and 40% reduction in computing latency.
In 2022, the flagship Oppo Find X5 Pro smartphone was among the first to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, delivering unprecedented experiences in connectivity, AI, gaming, video, audio, and security. Earlier, Oppo released several smartphones featuring Snapdragon 5G mobile platforms, including Find X3 Series and Reno6 Series.
The flagship Snapdragon mobile platforms have been featured on many Oppo smartphones, through which they have introduced 5G mobile experiences to more users around the world.
