People should stop calling HMD phones “Nokia” phones. They are two completely different companies. HMD is only authorized to brand Nokia on its junk devices with unreliable support.
Carroll, November 14, 2022Why this e-waste? Because it’s not some Chinese wannabe with glossy paper cutouts and cringy…moreBasically something like this is expected from you! The biggest HMD / Nokia fan and protector on this site. Now if you’re talking about wasted comments, how could it be better to pin me with a useless comment? Since when does Finland produce any hardware that goes into a phone? They just make the spec sheet and send it to the factories that make the phones mostly in China or in India. They don’t have anything they own some design element or patent that they’re allowed to use and that’s it.
Also to your previous comment of your comparison. How stupid can you be to compare Apple or Samsung to Nokia. Nokia sold its phone division to Microsoft and was not allowed to use the Nokia brand on any phone for a few years. Then Nokia returned with its old workers who created a new company called HMD. They don’t have a core Nokia backing them up with money or anything basically because they’re just a company that is allowed to use the Nokia patents and brand name.
And what does this have to do with the employees that change in every company all the time? HMD isn’t that special or anything because they don’t even make flagship phones. They don’t even have higher end of middle class phones while they sell there economy class at middle class prices
Samsung and Apple may have changed some of the workforces there but who cares? It’s not as if the level of quality of the new technology being used there has decreased. Nokia before HMD was good with prices and model range even under windows phone and they made legendary models. Since it is under HMD, they only have nostalgic smartphones and low end smartphones with premium price.
If I wanted to use recycled materials in my phone and needed to pay extra for it like with HMD, I would expect a good schedule of updates and good hardware. The G60 costs €330 and for that money I’d expect at least the SD860, 870 or at least the SD780. I also expect a punch-hole selfie with Amoled and under display fingerprint reader.

I use Nokia 2.4 Android one. Low end device. It came with Android 9 or 10. Then it got Android 11 with some bugs then it got MR Android 11 then it got Android 12 now its smooth and usable till day 1.
Samsung’s budget and budget phones have similar specs with a heavy, bulky, bulging skin.
GeeSquer4U, November 15, 2022As if you own a g60This is a strange response to a comment I made.
Why would I want a premium HMD phone when I can get so much for the same amount of money.
The cheapest G60 in my country is 329 euros. For the same money, I can get Poco F3, Mi 11 Lite 5G, OnePlus Nord 2 / Nord CE 2, Realme GT Master, Samsung Galaxy A52 / 52s / 53,
GeeSquer4U, November 15, 2022I have used budget Nokia and Samsung phones. I feel Nokia is better because Samsung feels slow…moreThis is not a Nokia phone but a junk HMD with an authorized Nokia decal. There isn’t anything good about HMD phones either in terms of performance, price, reliable support, or just about everything else. I still don’t know why some people still hoping HMD junk phones might be subconsciously attracted to the Nokia brand.

The Redmi costs around €270 and what you get with it is tough even because it’s a year old. At that G60 price point, I look something like the Poco F4 with the SD870 or the Poco F4 GT with the 8 gen 1.

Hmm, November 14, 2022They are not after LG or HTC as Nokia was first and ended up with a Windows Phone. This comes…moreIt’s like saying that Apple is not Apple because Steve Jobs is no longer there, or Samsung is not Samsung because since the appearance of the first device, there is literally not a single employee left who worked there at those times. Hack, even Nokia is not actually a Nokia because it started in 1867 with papermill Maschienes and later rubber shoes and tires. In your opinion, a brand should die when no one has roots left, right? I mean, Tweeter is also not a tweeter because Muskete bought it, and android is not android because google bought it long ago. And whatsapp is actually facebook because meta bought it when meta was called facebook. I can go on till the end of time. The only brand that has survived without interference from other companies (well at least what is known), without being bought, without merging with others, so the only brand is the German miele, besides them, I’m having trouble finding a brand that hasn’t been Merged, bought, sold and corrupted by other companies….
Well, that’s hmd, and hmd makes Nokia devices. If it’s hard to understand, be smart and keep it up, trolls like you are nothing new.. they shouldn’t hmd these days, and nokia 10 years ago.
