OPPO Reno9 and 9 Pro allegedly sport an updated look in the new renders

It is claimed that the upcoming Reno9 series of Android smartphones will build on the updated design of its predecessors with a raised lens aperture almost shaped like an iPhone within the perimeter of the square rear camera. However, according to new leaks provided by the well-known guide Evan Blass (or @evleaks on Twitter), the company decided to improve this look somewhat.

According to this new MakesOPPO will release 3 Reno9 series phones that follow the direction of the dual-barreled lens, 2 of which drop the flat glass auto-shaped camera island. It seems to flow with the rest of the glossy back panel yet is still opted for a contrasting glossy texture.

The third has a new shade of green distinct from the Reno8 series to finish off the mysterious back panel from the last generation. It is also the only first to have a smaller triple lens where the other two lenses have a flash over a blank, circular feature, perhaps a decorative one.

Therefore, it appears that the OPPO Reno9 series may consist of a Pro + model along with the vanilla 9 and 9 Pro variants as usual, although the latter two will return to a dual rear camera setup for the first time in generations.

The top version is said to be for the OEM’s much-loved Sony IMX766 as the main camera, while the other two versions may handle the 64MP sensor from OmniVision.

Finally, the Reno9 series is now paired with a 32MP selfie camera in a centrally aligned perforated display. Then again, there is no official launch date for any of the mid-tier virtual smartphones.
