Meta fires more than 11,000 employees, Twitter ‘verified’ chaos, Apple introduces 5G to iPhones in India, and other tech news of the week

This week, MediaTek announced two new chipsets – the Dimensity 9200 and the Pentonic 1000 and T800, and the Kompanio 520 and 528.

Dimensity 9200 will appear in top-tier smartphones from later this year. The Pentonic 100, which enables features like MEMC and Dolby Vision IQ, will come inside 4K smart TVs. Mediatek T800 is a 5G modem, supporting 6GHz and mmWave networks. Meanwhile, the Kompanio 520 and 528 chipsets are for Chromebooks.
