Smartwatches are starting to get crowded with more features than ever, but the prices are increasing at the same time. Huawei forgets all this with its latest entry-level watch – the Huawei Watch GT 3 SE. Below the brand’s high-end models, this budget smartwatch packs the key features we know and love at a price we love most.
This clock is big on the screen, with a 1.43 inch AMOLED display. It has a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels, and everything works at just 35.6g light. As a smartwatch, you will receive all notifications via Bluetooth, including phone calls (if you still get them). The Watch GT 3 SE doesn’t have cellular specs, but we wouldn’t expect that at this price point.
With a focus on health and fitness, you’ll find that the Huawei Watch GT 3 SE can keep up with the move on the go. It features over 1,000 different exercise modes, all of which are tracked by TruSport to monitor all of your fitness data. With TruSleep, you can track your sleep stages, snoring, and even sleep while you talk through the night (just make sure to say nice things). Heart rate tracking is more accurate than ever, which excludes goal tracking, stress monitoring, and menstrual monitoring. In addition, there is a water resistance of up to 50 meters for all water sports that you can shake noodles with.
All this is up to 14 days of battery life (or 7 days with heavy use). And when you can finally run it flat, the watch charges wirelessly. It even supports reverse wireless charging from your smartphone. Speaking of smartphones, Huawei Watch GT 3 SE is compatible with both iOS and Android devices, making happy bubble colors.
Huawei’s best-in-class Watch GT 3 Pro scored four stars out of five in our review. Although the performance won’t be nearly as strong, at this price, expect some serious bang for your buck. If the brand’s latest entry-level watch catches your eye, you’ll be able to slap one on your wrist pretty soon. The Huawei Watch GT 3 SE retails for just £160 and is available to order directly from Huawei now. It will make its way to other retailers over the coming weeks.
