TSSC cooperates with Huawei to open an IoT center of excellence in Patna

The Communications Skills Council to open “center of excellence‘ in NIT Patna In cooperation with Huawei The Skills Development Authority said capacity building techniques in the telecommunications sector. The Center of Excellence (CoE) will take care of roles in information and communications technology, cybersecurity, electronics, and telecommunications, including technical, service and allied areas, which will include IoT job roles (The Internet of things), director of the call center, ToT, and ToA, among others, TSSC said in a statement.

Former Minister of Communications and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasadwho inaugurated the center, said that TSSC is fulfilling the need of the hour by establishing high skills centers to cater to the youth.

“We need more industry aligned training to empower our youth with advanced skills like 5G and IoT. I want to see more being done for Bihar,” Prasad He said.

TSSC and Foolish Patna has signed a five-year agreement aimed at honing, rehabilitating and reskilling aspiring students to enhance their employability through training in innovative technologies.

“Once the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) term expires, the center will be handed over to NIT Patna.

“Front-line workforce upskilling and upskilling in the telecom industry is becoming imperative with the exponential growth of this industry. Huawei will be a strategic partner that will help us align with the future demands of the industry and NIT Patna will provide a crucible for student transformation” TSSC CEO Arvind Bali He said.

The TSSC will provide training content, a network of training partners, industry linkage, etc. as per industry demand, institutionalize the accreditation process for training providers, assess and accredit assessors, trainers and trainees, all of which will be approved by the industry.

NIT Patna will host the lab setup and all equipment needed for the training. The statement said that it will additionally provide a list of faculty members for those who wish to become instructors at the Center of Excellence.
