Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro snaps in half when subjected to bend test

Last year, the Asus ROG Phone 5 snapped like a twig when it was subjected to the YouTube channel’s now classic bend test. Jerrygg is everything. So, since the ROG Phone 6 Pro was introduced back in July, you’ve probably been wondering how the new phone will perform when subjected to the same kind of torture.

As it turns out, you are in luck. In a very clear case of “better late than no late,” said Zack from Jerrygg is everything I just got the ROG Phone 6 Pro today. If you’re curious to see if the machine survived, grab some popcorn and your favorite brew and hit Play below.

It all starts out very standard style, with Gorilla Glass Victus scratching up the front at level 6 on the Mohs scale, with deeper grooves at level 7. Then the sides are made sure the sides are aluminum, and the buttons, interestingly enough, are removable. The camera bump is covered in glass, and the AMOLED screen lasts for about 30 seconds under a lighter torch before the area turns black and never recovers.

However, the bending test is disastrous. Another ROG phone snaps in half, easy on the first try. Interestingly, the screen doesn’t crack (that’s probably Gorilla Glass Victus in action), although it’s bent so nicely that it’s unusable. It only appeared ruined, though.
