Redmi K60 series camera details leaked, and it tends to use OIS-enabled sensors

redmia sub-brand of xiaomiIt is preparing to launch its upcoming K-series smartphone – Redmi K60. The upcoming smartphone will expand the company’s flagship K series.

Ahead of the launch, rumors about the phone revealing camera details surfaced on the internet. According to a report by Digital Chat Station, one of the K60 series smartphones is said to have a 64MP primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization Technology (OIS). The other model is rumored to have a 54MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) technology.

Other speculations about the phone say that it will have a perforated flat screen display on the front. The device is also rumored to be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 1,000W fast charging.

According to previous reports, the Redmi K60 gaming version is likely to be launched in the first quarter of 2023. Like its predecessor, the Redmi K50 Gaming, the smartphone may be available exclusively for purchase in China. The Redmi K60 gaming edition is said to succeed the Redmi K50 gaming edition that was launched earlier this year.

Redmi K50 Gaming Edition: Specifications

The Redmi K50 gaming edition features a 6.67-inch HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The smartphone screen provides a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.

The smartphone comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset that comes with IO Turbo technology along with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

The gaming smartphone has a triple rear camera setup that includes – 64 MP Sony IMX686 main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide camera with 120° field of view, and 2MP macro camera. The front camera module contains a 20MP Sony IMX596 selfie sensor.

The smartphone has a 4700mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.

The smartphone comes with a starting price of CNY 3,299 (around Rs 39,000) for the 8GB + 128GB storage variant.
