These OnePlus phones are getting a software update to support 5G

The update has been pushed to the OnePlus Nord 5G and Nord CE 5G. Just a few weeks ago, the OnePlus 10R, OnePlus 10T and OnePlus 10 Pro received the same update.

OnePlus Nord phones are updated to support Jio 5G.

The company confirmed the release of the latest updates via its community forum. The update has been pushed to the OnePlus Nord 5G and Nord CE 5G. Just a few weeks ago, the OnePlus 10R, OnePlus 10T and OnePlus 10 Pro received the same update.

Both OnePlus Nord devices already support Airtel 5G and are now getting support for Jio 5G network. The latest software update also improves system stability and fluidity. It even introduces the October Android Security Patch. Keep in mind that this is a gradual update and will reach all users gradually.

“As always, this OTA will be incremental. The company said the OTA will reach a small percentage of users today, and we will start a broader rollout in a few days. OnePlus users can also check for an update manually if they don’t get a notification. People just need to move on. To the phone settings section then go to the software to check the update.

OnePlus Nord was the first affordable smartphone from the company, which debuted in July 2020. The phone is not eligible to receive the OxygenOS 13 and Android 13 update. It will continue to get Android security patches until July 2023. OnePlus Nord CE will get this device because it has been unlocked. This mid-range device will be announced in June 2021. However, the device is slated to receive its first open beta update OxygenOS 13 in H1 2023.

In case you weren’t aware, both Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel launched 5G services in India last month. Although the service is currently available in select cities. The carriers have promised to roll out 5G across the country by the end of 2023. Those who reside in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, etc. can enjoy the 5G network.
