Moto G62 to launch in India on August 11: Will this be Motorola’s cheapest 5G phone?

Moto G62 is launching in India on August 11th and before the launch, Motorola revealed some of its specifications.

Motorola is raining new smartphones on us as the holiday season approaches. It had just launched the Moto G32 earlier today and now, the company has announced another upcoming smartphone in the Moto G series. This phone could become one of the most affordable 5G smartphones you can buy in India, as the rumors suggest. It is called the Moto G62 5G and it is similar to the phone that was launched in Brazil a while ago. Motorola hasn’t announced the price of the phone yet but has revealed some India-specific promotions.

Unlike the Brazilian variant, the Indian variant of the Moto G62 gets some basic upgrades. The biggest of them is the chipset, which has been upgraded from the Snapdragon 480+ to the Snapdragon 695. The Snapdragon 695 is a powerful mid-range chipset that has found a place in many of the subsidiaries. 20,000 smartphones this year. Thus, the Moto G62 5G should be able to perform well with basic applications and casual games.

Moto G62 will be launched soon in India

Other than the Snapdragon 695 chipset, the Moto G62 in India also gets a FHD+ IPS LCD display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The phone will also come with 12 5G bands, which means it should be compatible with most 5G bands easily.

The rest of the phone is expected to remain the same as the international model. Thus, you would expect the same 6.5-inch screen. The phone could also have a triple camera setup with a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a depth sensor. The phone may also have a 16MP front camera. All of this can be powered by a 5000 mAh battery which will rely on a 20W charger.

What remains is how Motorola prices this phone. Poco X4 Pro 5G still dominates this segment, which comes in at Rs. The 16999 offers a 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED display, the same Snapdragon 695 chipset, a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging, and a 64MP triple rear camera setup. The Poco is also made of glass, as opposed to the plastic chassis that Motorola prefers for its Moto G series models.
